公司成立于1988年2月，公司前称为长沙市万征货车车架有限公司，当时是长沙地区首家生产汽车车架的专业厂家，2012年11月变更为湖南万征机械科技有限公司，属于民营股份制企业。。
目前企业总资产近1.5亿元，在职员工600人，厂房建筑面积近5万多平方米，拥有各种设备600多台套，其中有4000T，3000T、630T、315T液压机，630T、400T、250T、160T和63T机械压力机，高精度液压剪扳机、数控等离子切割机、空气等离子切割机、大中型钻床、快速液压铆钉机、数控折弯机、自动焊接设备以及数控车、洗、刨、磨、镗床和数控冲孔生产线等，公司在配备阴极电泳生产线的基础上，同时配备有产品面漆涂装生产线。
在技术力量上，公司成立市级的技术中心，建立了CAD工作站，招聘和培训了一批专业的技术人才，现有工程师3人，助理工程师5人，技术员36人，经济师3人，会计师2人，有技术职称的共50人，所有员工的文化和技术素质也相当高。
